Mulch, Gravel, Sand and Stone Delivery

We deliver bulk landscaping material across Wilmington, Ogden, Porters Neck, Wrightsville Beach, Hampstead and Leland — mulch, topsoil, gravel, crush and run, sand and decorative stone.

The advantage of a hydraulic dump trailer over a flatbed is simple: we tip it where you want it rather than shovelling it off. If you need it split into two piles at opposite ends of a driveway, that’s usually doable. If access is tight, tell us before we load — a trailer that can’t reach the spot means the material lands somewhere you then have to barrow it from.

One thing worth understanding before you order: light material is limited by volume, heavy material by weight. A trailer will take a lot more mulch than it will gravel, because gravel hits the axle rating long before the trailer looks full. That’s why mulch is usually quoted by the yard and stone by the ton, and why “a full load” means different amounts depending on what’s in it. Store Collections and Marketplace Pickups

You found the right dining table on Facebook Marketplace. It’s in Leland, you’re in Ogden, and it doesn’t fit in a Camry.

We collect and deliver — furniture, appliances and equipment bought secondhand or from a store that either doesn’t deliver or can’t for three weeks. Same for building materials, lumber and landscaping supplies from the big-box stores when their own delivery window doesn’t work.

Two things make this go smoothly: confirm the seller or store will actually be there at the agreed time, and send us a photo plus rough dimensions. Most disappointments on these jobs come from an item being bigger than described.

Storage Unit Moves

Storage moves are one of our commonest hauling jobs — filling a unit, emptying one, or shifting contents between facilities when you find a better rate or need a different size.

We do the loading and unloading. Worth knowing on the practical side: most facilities have gate hours rather than 24-hour access, some require the tenant present, and drive-up units are a great deal quicker to work than interior units down a corridor with a shared elevator. If the point of the move is to stop paying for the unit altogether, we can sort as we load — donatable to one pile, disposal to another — and take the discards away in the same visit.

Heavy and Awkward Single Items

Some jobs are just one thing that’s too heavy for two people and a good attitude. Gun safes. Hot tubs being repositioned rather than scrapped. Treadmills and home gym equipment. Wood stoves. Commercial appliances. Sheds moved to a different part of the yard.

We handle in-home moves too — furniture between rooms or floors, clearing a room for flooring or painting, or repositioning for staging before a house goes on the market. Estate agents’ photographers usually want less furniture in a room, not more, and moving it into the garage for a fortnight is a job most people would rather not do twice.

Loading and Unloading Help

If you’ve already rented a truck or ordered a portable container and just need the muscle, we do labour-only work: loading, unloading, or both ends of a local move.

This tends to be the cheapest way to handle a move where the driving isn’t the problem — you keep control of the vehicle and the schedule, and you don’t spend a Saturday carrying a mattress down a stairwell.

For a full household relocation — particularly anything crossing state lines — you want a licensed household goods carrier with the appropriate registration and cargo coverage, and we’ll say so rather than take the job. We also can’t transport hazardous material: fuel, propane, solvents, paint, chemicals or marine fuel.

Hauling and delivery jobs are quoted individually, because they turn on three things: the distance, the weight or volume of what’s moving, and how much labour is involved at each end.

A mulch delivery to an open driveway is quick. The same volume barrowed through a side gate to a back garden is a different job. A single item collected from a store loading bay is straightforward; the same item carried down two flights from an apartment is not.
