Commercial customers can be invoiced rather than paying at the door, and we work evenings and weekends around trading hours.
Construction & Demolition
- Construction debris removal — lumber, drywall, tile, concrete, flooring, cabinetry, roofing and general job site waste
These loads are priced on volume and weight, because dense material hits disposal weight limits well before it fills a trailer.
Hauling & Delivery
- Hauling and moving services — mulch, topsoil, gravel and sand delivered by dump trailer, storage unit moves, marketplace and store collections, heavy single-item moves and labour-only loading help
This is the one service that works in the opposite direction — things arriving rather than leaving.
A–Z: What We Actually Take
Furniture and soft furnishings — sofas, sectionals, loveseats, recliners, sleeper sofas, armchairs, dining tables and chairs, dressers, wardrobes, bookcases, desks, mattresses, box springs, bed frames, cribs, rugs and carpet.
Appliances — refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, ranges, microwaves, water heaters, window AC units, dehumidifiers, commercial coolers and ice machines.
Electronics — TVs, monitors, computers, printers, copiers, phone systems, networking equipment, UPS units and small electricals.
Household and garage — boxes, clothing, toys, books, exercise equipment, treadmills, bikes, tools, holiday decorations and general clutter.
Yard and outdoor — limbs, brush, pine straw, leaves, fencing, decking, sheds, playsets, above-ground pools, hot tubs, grills, patio furniture and storm debris.
Construction and renovation — lumber, drywall, tile, concrete, brick, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, doors, windows, roofing and packaging.
Commercial — office furniture, cubicles and systems furniture, filing cabinets, shelving, retail fixtures, display units, mannequins, signage, restaurant equipment and pallets.
Marine — small boats past repair, boat trailers, jet skis, dock sections, davits and crab pots.

What We Can’t Take
Hazardous material, essentially. Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides and herbicides, pool chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks, fuel, marine fuel, bottom paint, lead-acid batteries and regulated medical waste including sharps and biohazard containers.
These require licensed disposal, and New Hanover County runs a household hazardous waste programme for the domestic side of that list. Businesses generating regulated waste should route it through a licensed contractor. If you’re unsure about something, ask before you book rather than finding out on the day.
How Pricing Works Across All Services
Removal work is priced by the space your load takes in the trailer rather than by weight. Single items start at $99 and most jobs land between $99 and $1,000. Our trailers are 11ft long, 8ft wide and 5ft tall, and you can book anything from an eighth of a load upwards.
Two exceptions. Construction and demolition loads factor in weight as well as volume. And hauling or delivery jobs are quoted individually on distance, quantity and the labour at each end.

Combining Services in One Visit
Worth knowing, because it usually saves money: you can combine jobs on a single visit. Clear the garage and take delivery of mulch on the same trip. Empty a storage unit and dispose of what you’re not keeping. Strip out a bathroom and haul away the old furniture from the spare room while we’re there.
One visit at one load size costs less than two call-outs, so it’s worth listing everything when you ask for a quote rather than booking piecemeal.

Our Removal Process
The Dumpo Junk Removal has a process with four steps for every job to make sure they remove and dispose of your junk responsibly and effectively. They also offer great customer service.
1. FILTERING
We look through all the things you have to find what can be given away, reused or thrown away.
2. LOADING
We will do the hard work for you. We will take your things from wherever they are and put them in our trucks with all your rubbish and clutter.
3. JUNK REMOVAL
We take all the useless stuff that can’t be reused or given away to the landfills. There, the county will sort through it.
4. ECO-DISPOSAL
We bring the things we saved to nearby places that recycle or donate them in our community.

What junk removal services do you offer?

I’ve only got one thing. Which service is that?
Our $99 single item pickup. One couch, one mattress, one appliance, one treadmill — there’s no minimum load and you don’t need to fill a trailer to book. If you’re in Porters Neck or Ogden it’s especially worth doing, since we’re based in the same zip code and travel time isn’t padding the quote.
Do you work for businesses as well as households?
Yes, and commercial work runs slightly differently. We can invoice your accounts department rather than taking payment at the door, arrange a certificate of insurance for your building manager in advance, and work evenings or weekends around your trading hours. Property managers with several sites can set up a scheduled run, which costs less than booking each clearance individually.
Can I combine services in one visit?

What happens to everything after you take it?
We sort every load. Usable furniture, appliances, clothing and building materials go to local donation partners, metal, cardboard and electronics go to recyclers, and only what genuinely can’t be reused goes to the landfill. Appliances in particular are among the most recyclable things we handle, since steel, copper and aluminium are all recoverable.
