Commercial Junk Removal in Wilmington, NC

Commercial work runs on different rules to household work. There’s usually a lease deadline behind it, a building manager who needs paperwork before you’re allowed through the door, and a window when the job can actually happen — which is rarely between nine and five.

We clear offices, retail units, restaurants, rental portfolios, storage facilities and job sites across Wilmington, Ogden, Porters Neck, Wrightsville Beach, Hampstead and Leland. Here’s how it works.

Who We Work For

Most of our commercial jobs fall into one of six groups:

  • Property managers and landlords — unit turnovers, abandoned tenant belongings, dumpster pad clearing, portfolio-wide scheduled runs
  • Offices closing or relocating — desks, chairs, filing cabinets, cubicle partitions, conference furniture and years of dead IT
  • Retail — refits, fixture swaps, shelving, display units, mannequins, signage and stockroom clearances
  • Restaurants and food service — walk-in coolers, prep tables, seating, kitchen equipment and fit-out debris
  • Contractors and remodellers — site tidy-ups between trades, demo debris, packaging and offcuts
  • Storage facilities — lien units and abandoned contents

If you’re none of those and you have a commercial space with things in it that need to leave, we can almost certainly help.

We Work Around Your Opening Hours

A retail refit doesn’t happen mid-Saturday. A restaurant can’t lose its dining room at lunch. An office turnover often has to be done before the next tenant’s contractors arrive on Monday.

Early mornings, evenings and weekends are normal for us on commercial jobs, and we’d rather build the schedule around your trading hours than ask you to work around ours. If there’s a hard deadline — a lease end, a handover, an inspection — tell us the date when you book and we’ll work backwards from it.

For buildings with a loading dock, freight elevator or service entrance, let us know which we should use and whether it needs reserving. Booking a freight elevator on arrival is how a two-hour job becomes a four-hour one.

Insurance, Invoicing and Vendor Paperwork

Commercial customers usually need more than a price. Building managers often want a certificate of insurance naming the property before a vendor is allowed on site. Accounts departments generally can’t pay a card at the door — they need an invoice, a W-9 on file, and sometimes a purchase order number on the paperwork.

Tell us what your side needs when you book and we’ll get it sorted before the day rather than at the gate. If you’re onboarding us as a vendor for a portfolio rather than a single job, say so up front and we’ll do the paperwork once.

Electronics, and the Bit People Forget

Every office clearout produces a pile of dead technology: monitors, towers, printers, phone systems, networking kit, UPS units and the copier nobody has serviced since 2019.

We remove all of it and route it to electronics recyclers rather than the landfill. But there’s something worth pausing on first — a lot of that equipment stores data. Computers and external drives obviously, but also multifunction copiers and printers, which typically hold internal hard drives containing images of everything ever scanned or printed on them.

Wipe or remove drives before disposal, or arrange certified destruction through an IT provider. We’ll haul the hardware, but responsibility for what’s on it stays with you, and a copier leaving a medical or legal office with its drive intact is a genuine problem. Worth ten minutes of somebody’s time before the truck arrives.

Property Turnovers and Abandoned Belongings

Rental turnover is our steadiest commercial work. Tenants leave furniture, mattresses, appliances and general contents behind, and the unit needs to be clear before it can be cleaned, shown or relet.

We clear units in one visit and leave them broom-ready. For managers running several properties, a scheduled run costs less than individual call-outs and means the same crew who already knows your buildings and access arrangements.

One caution on abandoned property: North Carolina has specific rules about what a landlord may do with belongings a tenant leaves behind, and the required waiting periods and notices depend on the circumstances. Make sure your process is right before anything is disposed of — we can only remove what you have the authority to remove.

The same applies to storage facility lien units. If the lien process is complete and the contents are yours to clear, we’ll take them.

Job Sites and Renovation Debris

For contractors and remodellers we handle site tidy-ups between trades, demolition debris, packaging, offcuts, old cabinetry, flooring and fixtures.

Construction loads are priced on volume and weight, because tile, concrete, brick and wet lumber hit disposal weight limits well before they fill the trailer. Our hydraulic dump trailers help here — heavy material goes in at deck height rather than being lifted to a box truck bed, which keeps the labour cost down on exactly the loads where labour usually spikes.

If you’re running several sites, ask about a standing arrangement rather than booking each clearance separately.

What Commercial Jobs Cost

Same principle as residential: priced by the space the load takes up in the trailer, not by weight. Single items start at $99 and most single-visit jobs land between $99 and $1,000 depending on volume.

Three things move a commercial quote more than they would a household one: access (stairs versus a loading dock makes a real difference), timing (out-of-hours work is scheduled around your business, which takes planning), and disposal type, since electronics, appliances and construction waste go to different facilities.

Larger clearances and multi-unit work are quoted after a site visit — for anything above a single van-load of office furniture, we’d rather walk it with you than guess from photos. That visit is free and carries no obligation.

What We Take, and What We Can’t

We handle office furniture, retail fixtures and shelving, restaurant equipment, appliances, electronics and IT, carpet and carpet demolition, partitions, signage, construction and demolition debris, pallets, packaging and general clearance.

We can’t take hazardous material — solvents, paints, chemicals, asbestos, propane, fuel — or regulated medical waste including sharps and biohazard containers. Medical and dental practices should route those through a licensed medical waste contractor; we’ll clear the waiting room furniture, the old equipment and the electronics, but not anything regulated.

Booking a Commercial Job

Send photos and the essentials through our booking page, or call 910-310-5115 to talk it through. The details that speed things up: the deadline, the access route, whether there’s a dock or freight elevator, what hours we can work, and what paperwork your building or accounts team needs.

For bigger clearances we’ll come out and walk the site with you at no charge. See also our full office cleanout service and junk removal across Wilmington.

Commercial Junk Removal in Wilmington NC — Common Questions

Most commercial enquiries come down to the same handful of things: whether we can work outside trading hours, what paperwork your building or accounts team will need, and how quickly a unit can be cleared before a deadline. Here’s how each works. If yours isn’t covered, call 910-310-5115 or send the details through our booking page.

How much does commercial junk removal cost in Wilmington?

Priced by the space your load takes up in the trailer rather than by weight. Single items start at $99 and most single-visit jobs land between $99 and $1,000 depending on volume. Three things move a commercial quote more than a household one: access, since stairs versus a loading dock makes a real difference; timing, because out-of-hours work needs planning; and disposal type, as electronics, appliances and construction waste go to different facilities. Larger clearances are quoted after a free site visit.

Can you work outside our opening hours?

Yes — early mornings, evenings and weekends are normal for commercial work. A retail refit can’t happen mid-Saturday and a restaurant can’t lose its dining room at lunch, so we build the schedule around your trading hours. If there’s a hard deadline like a lease end, handover or inspection, give us the date and we’ll work backwards from it.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our building manager?

Tell us what your building requires when you book and we’ll arrange the paperwork before the day rather than at the gate. Many managed buildings won’t let a vendor on site without a COI naming the property, and it’s the single commonest reason a job gets turned away on arrival. If you’re onboarding us across a portfolio rather than for one job, say so up front and we’ll do it once.

Can you invoice us rather than take payment on the day?

Yes, that’s standard for commercial customers. Accounts departments generally can’t pay a card at the door, so tell us what your process needs — an invoice, a W-9 on file, a purchase order number on the paperwork — and we’ll set it up before the work happens.

What happens to our old computers, copiers and IT equipment?

We remove all of it and route it to electronics recyclers rather than the landfill. One thing to handle before we arrive: a lot of that equipment stores data. Computers and drives obviously, but also multifunction copiers and printers, which typically hold internal hard drives containing images of everything ever scanned or printed. Wipe or remove drives first, or arrange certified destruction through your IT provider. We’ll haul the hardware, but responsibility for what’s on it stays with you.

A tenant left belongings behind. Can you clear the unit?

Yes, and rental turnovers are our steadiest commercial work — furniture, mattresses, appliances and general contents cleared in one visit, unit left broom-ready. One caution: North Carolina has specific rules about what a landlord may do with property a tenant leaves behind, and the required notices and waiting periods depend on the circumstances. Make sure your process is right first, because we can only remove what you have the authority to remove. Same applies to storage facility lien units.

We manage several properties. Can you set up a regular arrangement?

Yes, and it works out cheaper than booking each clearance individually. You get the same crew who already knows your buildings, the access arrangements and the vendor paperwork, which cuts the admin on every job after the first. Ask when you book and we’ll put something together around your turnover pattern.

Do you handle medical and dental practices?

We clear waiting room furniture, reception fittings, old non-regulated equipment, cabinetry and electronics. We can’t take regulated medical waste — sharps, biohazard containers or anything requiring licensed handling — so route that through a medical waste contractor. Bear in mind that practice copiers and computers often hold patient data, so those drives need dealing with before disposal.
